Anatomy Tests Made Easy

Are you a D'Youville College student looking to build up some confidence going into that big anatomy exam?


There are many tried and true methods for preparing for a test such as rereading your notes and creating your own outline but one of the more effective ways to study is to use quizzes.  What better way to practice for a test than to actually take a test?
Visible Body comes complete with easy to access quizzes that make it easy for anatomy students who are preparing for an upcoming test.


Quizzes in all major system groups such as circulatory, skeletal, digestive, nervous system, reproductive, respiratory and urinary sectors. The quizzes include over 1200 questions from 125 areas of the body.
You will see all the quizzes arranged into the major systems upon clicking on the “Quiz” link from the top menu.




After choosing the area that you are interested in you will be presented a screen with the body area and a text area asking you to select a specific body part.




You can pan and rotate the structure to find the target part. You can also hide parts to get a better view inside the structure if needed. Once you are comfortable with a selection you may click on submit.




The quiz gives you three tries to get a correct answer before moving on (you may also choose to move on to the next question at any point).



You are graded at the end of each quiz. You make retake the quiz as many times as you like.
The questions are randomized so that they will continue to present a challenge and not easily be memorized based on question order.

The web based version of Visible Body is available to D'Youville students via the Library. Off-campus users will logon with the same username and password that they use for their DYC email.

Find 5 (or more) scholarly articles in under 20 seconds

As an undergraduate at D'Youville College there are a lot of things competing for your attention and most of them rank above having to do a research paper. We can't help you get out of writing your paper, but we can ease the search process - saving you what little time and energy you have left to write that paper and get back to your life. So, so very busy! Your instructor wants you to include "peer reviewed" or "scholarly" articles. This rules out a quick Google search, but it does not mean that you have to spend hours trying to figure out where to get a quality article or to even have to figure out what is "peer reviewed" and what is not.  Your instructor might have offered a tip like "try the library". Get the body you want using Visible Body layers

Exploring the different systems within the body and their relationships to each other is as simple as eating ice cream with a spoon using Visible Body. Start by selecting the area of the body that you want to concentrate on and then use the vertical menu in the left hand column to turn on different “system layers”. Below is a screenshot of the “Regions” menu from the horizontal green menu at the top. In this example we will select the thoracic spine.
